Guthrie Medical Health Care Clinic
Full-service regional medical clinic anchoring the plaza's south building.

Guthrie has cared for families in the Twin Tiers since 1910, when Dr. Donald Guthrie opened a small clinic in Sayre. More than a century later, its Wellsboro Plaza clinic brings that same regional legacy right to Route 6 — occupying roughly 34,000 square feet of purpose-built medical space in the south building.
For residents of Tioga County, the clinic means primary care, visiting specialists in cardiology, orthopedics, women's health, behavioral health, and rehab, plus on-site lab and imaging — without the drive to Sayre, Corning, or Williamsport. Same-day appointments and wide, well-lit corridors were designed with older patients and young families in mind.
Guthrie's Wellsboro presence goes well beyond the plaza: the system supports local schools, sponsors community wellness events, and employs hundreds of neighbors as nurses, techs, and providers. Many of the faces behind the check-in counter grew up in Wellsboro, Mansfield, or Westfield.
When the clinic opened here in 2010, it set the tone for what Wellsboro Plaza would become — a place where rural residents could count on world-class regional medicine right along the historic Route 6 corridor.
